The Woman in White
by Constance Cox
Adapted from the novel by Wilkie Collins

The Woman in White is regarded as Collins’ best novel, and this adaptation by Constance Cox brings us a tale of intrigue, romance and villainy, a thrillingly entertaining mix!

The story begins with Walter Hartright's unexpected encounter with a desperate woman dressed entirely in white. When he subsequently gains a post as drawing master at Limmeridge Hall in Cumberland, his chance encounter takes on a mysterious significance as he is drawn into a world of hidden secrets, dastardly actions and shadowy characters, amongst them the brutish Sir Percival Glyde and the devilish Count Fosco.

Walter’s apparently hopeless love for Laura Fairlie, and his regard for her half-sister Marion Halcombe, combined with Fosco’s greed and Glyde’s secret, lead to an electrifyingly dramatic climax.
